THE GREAT COMMISSION
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
At Valleypoint Church, we are becoming a community that is more concerned with doing the things that Jesus commanded, taught and modeled for us rather than simply just knowing more information. In the Great Commission, Jesus instructed us to teach others to do what He commanded. So, with that in mind, we have started a One-on-One discipleship process that equips disciples of Jesus to make disciples. Our hope is that as God brings more people into relationship with Him, they will learn to follow Jesus with their whole life and live out the Great Commission in their homes and communities. We have built our discipleship process around 10 actions we see Jesus model for us throughout Scripture.

What does Discipleship Look Like?
Life on Life
We do life with people, we don't believe the most ideal place for discipleship to take place is Sunday mornings but rather in homes or around tables throughout the city.
Action Based
We are not just about learning new things but applying Jesus' words and example to our lives.
Bible Based
While other books are great we want to get our marching orders from the source. Jesus Himself.
Simple
Following Jesus is not easy but it shouldn't be complex we believe anyone can be a disciple of Jesus.
