At Valleypoint Church, we believe that every believer is called to be a disciple-maker. The Leadership Pipeline is our intentional pathway designed to equip you with the tools, character, and confidence to lead others into a deeper relationship with Jesus.
In our Leadership pipeline you will learn about the Seven Core Competencies
Successful disciple-makers don’t just happen—they are forged through practice and community. Our Level 1 Cohorts guide prospective leaders through seven essential areas of growth:
Spiritual Formation - Cultivating a soul that is deeply rooted in Christ.
Bible Fluency - Navigating and interpreting Scripture with confidence.
Spiritual Design - Discovering your unique SHAPE and spiritual gifts.
Evangelism - Learning to share the Gospel naturally and effectively.
Relationships - Building healthy, Christ-centered community.
Understanding Church - Exploring the mission, vision, and theology of the local church.
Leadership - Developing the skills to guide and multiply others.
How the cohort works
We believe growth happens best in circles, not just rows. That’s why our training is built around Learning Cohorts.
Duration: Each competency typically spans 4 weeks, allowing for deep dive and practical application. After each class, there will be a week off to practice what you have learned.
Pace: While we have a standard rhythm, our cohorts are flexible. We adjust the pace to ensure every member is truly mastering the material.
Environment: A mix of guided study, group discussion, and real-world practice.
